"They told you that beauty was in the eye of the beholder. What they failed to tell you is that it is best seen with the eyes closed. What you look like isn't important. What is important is who you are inside and out and the choices you are making in your life." - Tiana Tozer

Virtual Sketchbook I found while on StumbleUpon. It's an interactive sketchbook where you can look at the artist's details and comments. Check It out.

Lauren Rice

Lauren Rice's work intrigued me when looking through her most recent post. She has a collection of works that she has recently produced titled "Heirlooms" that is being presented at the Transformer Gallery. Her work is interesting for me to look at because it utilizes mixed media to create her overall theme. From a long distance her work could be seen as rubbish, but when looking closely at the details she puts together, the work makes sense and has an overall sense of the principles of design. A lot of her work utilizes wire work, gouache, foam, and other contrasting materials that give the work a good sense of three-dimensionality. This collection is raw and rich in a stylized environmental feel.
